Summary
“My name is Buckhunter Dornley, and I am dead.”
This isn’t your average fairy tale, and Sir Buckhunter Dornley isn’t your average knight. He’ll tell you that himself. Winning tournaments, fighting cyclopes, and slaying dragons? All in a day’s work for the mightiest knight in the empire, but that knight is about to meet his match in Mercy, the charming and outrageous princess of Merris. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, and Buck falls hard. What he doesn’t know is Mercy lives under an ancient, terrible curse. When he finds out, Buck swears he’ll do anything to break it.
There’s just one little problem.
He’s dead.
For there to be any chance of happily ever after, the knight determined to rescue the princess may need the princess to rescue him too.
A fairy tale fantasy perfect for those who love traditional fairy tales with a twist.

interesting
a great series, very different from the normal stuff I am used to. A little on the shorter side but I really enjoyed it, I definitely recommend it.

Great
Very interesting story. Was lovely to see how the ending tied in to the beginning. The Knight made me laugh. The comedy was a great boon into the story.

Wonderfully written and narrated
An excellently written and narrated fantasy tale, with knights and dragons and a princess that needs saving from a terrible curse. Only this is not your usual fairytale.
Buck is the unassailable knight, a true bachelor avoiding the maidens who track down and ensnare all knights eventually. But his freedom is short lived and he falls for a blue eyed beauty. The narrator, Marcus Rothenberg, nails him in all his grumpy, obnoxious glory, and yet you love him as well as Mercy steamrollers his barricades and defences.
The difference is in this fairytale is that the mighty knight is dead, killed by his true love, but he is the only one who can break her curse.
At times humourous, at others heart breaking, Buck is determined to win his love, but things do not go as planned, and the story hooks you as the mystery unravels. You ought to pick this one up, it was excellent.
I was fortunate enough to get a free promo code but I’ve read Sarah Ashwood before so this was a no brainer! I love her books and this was such a fun read or should I say listen!! I am leaving this review voluntarily. Hope you enjoy it as well!

Knight's Rebirth
The story & writing style of this book is so different it's like it was written by another author. It's penned like a traditional fairy tale with a big headed arrogant knight who I hated, kind princess, ice sister, evil dragon, greedy king and a HEA ending. It has a weird intro where it quickly skips from one story to another. The author doesn't revisit the original story and it only makes (some) sense at the end of the book.
I would say it fits well in the 'teen' category. I wasn't a fan of this book, the content just wasn't that appealing to me, and I found the main character Buck very annoying. The narrator wasn't good at English accents. Overall the book was too 'Disney' for me.
I was given this book for free of my own choosing and I voluntarily left this review.
