About this listen
From the wonderfully romantic and creative pen of Debra Mullins, here is an exciting and sensuous tale about two people who overcome a dark past to find an everlasting love.
The groom: Rogan Hunt has no need for a wife. After a stint in prison, he is only concerned with rebuilding the coffers of his estates. But then the Duke of Belvingham makes him an offer only a fool would refuse.
The bride: Lady Caroline Ware is horrified when her father arranges her marriage with a man said to have a wild temper and an even wilder reputation. But the Duke is dying, and Caroline has no choice but to agree.
The marriage: Caroline could not have imagined that her husband would be so tender, so warm, so sensual. Rogan was expecting a meek and timid wife, but instead Caroline is vibrant, charming, and passionate. Will this marriage turn into something they have secretly hoped it would be? Or will the real reason behind it finally come to light, destroying them both?

Great story

Rogan, the hero in the story's temper was immature, and Catherine, the heroine was a touch annoying - if you don't want to be treated like a child, then grow up!! I wasn't crazy about the buildup to the end as I thought it was a little coincidental. The way it ended was quite unnecessary and boring.
However, Mullins did a great job with charactisation, and she writes superbly.
As for the narrator, Jilly Bond, she was a shock to my system at first, and I wondered if I would be able to carry on listening. Nevertheless, perseverance paid off as, I felt, she added excitement to the story and brought life to the characters. She is a good reader and she helped me imagine and picture things better. I really do think she should be on stage. She's good with voices, but found it rather dfficult to be consistent, at times. Plus, she made Catherine sound even more annoying than her character already was. I didn't like how Bond's tone/volume dropped with Rogon at certain times. I found myself having to turn up the volume and go back a lot, so I could catch what he said. Not sure I would always like to hear her as a nnarrator.
Overall, I found 'Just One Touch' average, but certainly not a waste of my time.

Story was full of holes and convenient happenings. Plot akes place over about a fortnight and people do not change their character that much in a fortnight even in fiction that's a stretch!
Story was OK, performance wasn't great
