I fortsættelsen Jubeljomfru er Ella nu 16½ og absolut jomfru. Hun har et stort ønske om for alvor at slippe ud af forstanderhjemmet og af med sin mødom.
Hun får et sommerjob i køkkenet på et bornholmsk vandrerhjem og knytter nye kontakter - bl.a. til en ældre skuespiller, som ferierer i et nærliggende sommerhus. Imellem de to udvikler der sig et samtale-og-spadsereturs-venskab, som ind imellem tangerer det erotiske. Tangerer, ikke mere, for Ella er og bliver en “jubeljomfru”.
Ella fantaserer, tænker og drømmer om at springe ud i verden, komme ned i sin krop, blive sig selv og en voksen kvinde.
