... All the other Primarchs tend to be gits, in some shape or form (either evil, deceitful, unstable or pompous) - but the Khan remains noble. This was a great listen, and hopefully Warhammer will produce more books about him. Recommended.

The primarch books are supposed to show off the character and traits of the primarchs, and this does that perfectly.

Any fan of Jaghatai Khan, the White Scars, Primarch's or just Black Library in general, should definitely read this book. The Fifth Legion fmgets so love and deep insight, not just into there methods of war but also there culture, history and psychology. Also, an excellent reading by Johnathan Keeble, who pronounced a lot of very difficult names with barely any issues.

I liked the book - fleshed the scars out somewhat. Liked the Primarch discussions and wished there were more. Some drawn out fight sequences, which i am not a fan of, but not too much. Does raise lots of questions though. The timeline starts to get confusing too.

I would have preferred the story to be more on Jagathai's background before the Imperium, but I did enjoy the part about the beginning of the legion on terra and the dialogues of the primarchs. I would rate this mid tier of the primarch series and if you like the White Scars, this is still a "must listen".
Narration was great, as in pretty much all the 30K (and 40K) books.

despite being one of the most easily forgotten people in the 40k universe, Jaghatai Khan carries a great presence here (hence the title of the book) but it's a great listen. you'd think a story about one of the primarchs you'd see space marines being overshadowed by their gene father, not here.

Interesting story about Jaghatai and the white scars as a whole, as well as a good introduction to the group. There was a surprising subplot about psychers and some stuff with the luna wolves. Also, the part with Magnus was almost tragic, in a good way. Overall, the book made me more interested in the white scars and I liked the insight into the argument on psychers between primarchs and space marines.

Also, the voice acting was great, but at times it got hard to understand who was speaking and if something that was said was part of conversation or narration.

a look at a mostly not seen legion , that would do well to have some of the "limelight".

I struggled to grasp the big thread of the story. Battle sections where to long, rather had the focus on the Khan.
