About this listen
Iron Man chronicles the story of both pioneering guitarist Tony Iommi and legendary band Black Sabbath, dubbed "The Beatles of heavy metal" by Rolling Stone. Iron Man reveals the man behind the icon yet still captures Iommi's humor, intelligence, and warmth. He speaks honestly and unflinchingly about his rough-and-tumble childhood, the accident that almost ended his career, his failed marriages, personal tragedies, battles with addiction, bandmates, famous friends, newfound daughter, and the ups and downs of his life as an artist.
Everything associated with hard rock happened to Black Sabbath first: the drugs, the debauchery, the drinking, the dungeons, the pressure, the pain, the conquests, the company men, the contracts, the combustible drummer, the critics, the comebacks, the singers, the Stonehenge set, the music, the money, the madness, the metal.

Very good book about Tony iommi
I have alot of admiration for Tony iommi through the years people have focused on ozzy but there are 4 members of that band and each one has his talent and journey with this band.

Truly brilliant
Never a big fan of Sabbath more AC/DC / Led Zeppelin but always appreciated their music. Tony writes well and shares his journey if fantastic detail. Bev Bevan did a decent enough job narrating though it did come across as a geography teacher mostly. Doesn’t matter much I enjoyed the book entirely absolutely brilliant

Listening to his biography
Interesting biography of the great man. I liked his dedication helping out for charity and his experience meeting the royal family.

Informative insight
Great informative insight, a good addition to Ozzys book which is brilliant, had me in stitches. This is a great addition in the BS journey. Iommi is a legend, “bloody brilliant” “that’s great”
The narration is hard at times.
