Mixed experience
The stories are nice, but each followed by a translation of words and English summary which I didn’t like. Feels more like exercise than story listening.

Struggling to learn French this isn't much help
The stories are rather simplistic with a very spelt-out moral, and I have feeling that the targeted audience is meant to be young adults. At least that would explain the very banal stories that center around some young persons' hassles with life in general. Mostly it ends with the lead character coming to terms with his/her station in life. Yawn.
The narrator's accent puzzles me, I wonder if he is Canadian? That might explain why he sounds American English and his French sounds a bit out of place to me, at least it doesn't sound like the French I am exposed to here in Strasbourg.
I think I will stick with the Coffee Break podcasts.

STOP BEGGING FOR REVIEWS
after every few stories. It's irritating and desperate and off-putting and intrusive and I'd have given a much better review if not hassled for one, it's really really annoying.
While linguistically helpful and well read, the stories are really basic and incredibly tedious, boring content with childish motifs, despite the narrator's assertion that they're 'amazing'.
Also the Q&A section at the end off each book would be much better structured with each question followed by the answer rather than a separate question section and answer section. This is because since I'm listening to an audiobook, it would be nice not to have to get pen and paper involved so I can jot down the answers to check in a later section, wouldn't have to do if questions were answered as posed. Secondly in a product that professes the goal of vocabulary expansion, having the answer section format " 1a 2b 3c" is not only dull to listen to but misses an obvious place to repeat and emphasize vocabulary in the answers, which educationally is a lot more valuable than listening to "1a2b2c". Weird decision.
