I enjoyed the narration of Billie Bryant
Christa has hidden her powers from everyone, including her family. This has kept her and her family safe. The General, rule the region and has built his name on the torture. He is headed to where Christa home.
Alice has suffered at the hands of the General, by means of sadistic and unending forms of torture. All she wants is her freedom. Helped by a man, Alice finds her way to Christa where she seeks shelter.
The arrival of these two strangers, make Christa’s powers increase. Should she stay and face the wrath of General's. If she stays a old war could be reignited.

Great story and audiobook
Right from the start, I was intrigued with the story. I will say that keeping the characters straight at the beginning was slightly confusing. But as the story continues, you can’t help but be pulled in. So much action and plot as the different storylines develop. So many intricate details culminating in a few surprises. I also did not see that ending coming. Excited to see where book 2 takes us!
And I have to say, the narrator did an excellent job!
