Summary

In this action-packed thriller with a sci-fi twist, Dr. Jason Harris is a former Navy SEAL. His ex-wife, Carla, was also a SEAL, and back then they used to run black-ops together, including some crazy stuff involving possible alien AI artifacts found in New Mexico.

A different op involved a Japanese general, Dennis Yang, who tried to developed a serum to turn humans into super-soldiers, which ended in catastrophe. Yang based his research on a book that has gone missing. Yang is determined at any cost to find the book and redeem his reputation.

Jason has remarried, but after being gone for 18 years, Carla returns. She knows where Yang's missing book is. She also knows that Yang is surveilling Jason and his new family, so she goes to warn them...but arrives too late. Dennis has kidnapped Jason's son, Brian, and left his daughter crippled.

Jason is deadly furious, so he and Carla, plus a handful of US government agents, go after Dennis. They capture him, but he tells them Brian escaped a while back and Dennis doesn't know where he is. An alien AI planed to force Brian to retrieve it from the underground CIA vaults at Langley. However, an alien race known as the REI lands on Earth with a mission to help humanity protect themselves from the Kilgore, bent on galactic domination. Thus intervening in the plan. The REI contact Brian and his friends pressing them to join their intergalactic forces....

different

The narration of Gerrod Larkyn, was brilliant. He covered so many different accents , 10 or more. From different sexes , ages and different species. Will look out this narrator again.

Let me begin. The book starts off well and sadly goes in so many different directions . I wish the author Harry MachDuff, kept to the one story line.

The book is set in the future , where earth has gone through a war and some humans now live in space . There is talk of some humans, who have gone through radiation, and now have become super human, stronger , smarter . Another group is looking for them to clone their DNA.

The beginning we follow a family who have this special DNA . It is centred around the three children , at first. You get invested into them . The story then just centres around the son Brian . Everyone else seems to forgotten.... and then we go off piste.

We have timelines and different groups all having there own agendas. Then we have two set of Aliens species that are brought in.

The author has a lot to offer , and you can see how he ; just wanted to put all his thoughts or plots into this book.

I wish he kept to the first plot and then slowly brought in the others , in future books.
I feel this book is set at young adults .
