Summary
The #1 Audible bestseller from the author of The Stone Man (shortlisted for the Audible Audiobook of the Year Award 2015)
There are hangovers, there are bad hangovers, and then there's waking up inside someone else's head. Thirty-something bartender Charlie Wilkes is faced with this dilemma when he wakes up to find himself trapped inside The Black Room - a space consisting of impenetrable darkness and a huge, ethereal screen floating in its center. It is through this screen that he sees the world of his female host, Minnie.
How did he get there? What has happened to his life? And how can he exist inside the mind of a troubled, fragile, but beautiful woman with secrets of her own? Uncertain whether he's even real or if he's just a figment of his host's imagination, Charlie must enlist Minnie's help if he is to find a way out of The Black Room, where the light of the screen goes out every time Minnie closes her eyes….
In The Darkness, That's Where I'll Know You tells the complete story of The Black Room, parts one to four. It contains all of the adventures of Charlie and Minnie, guaranteed to keep the listener on the edge of his or her seat.

Something different from the same old same old
Loved this book. Different from anything I have read before. Loved the characters and cared for them. Loved the narration too. I have also read the stone man by the same author and would recommend that book too. The two stories are very different and unlike anything I have previously read.

Original and Addictive!
Loved this book, I listen while I work and this book had me gripped. I found myself avoiding various tasks in order not to have to turn the book off! The author reads this himself and it's good and it works for the book. I really felt I was in there with Charlie trying to figure it all out.

A real original story. Expertly read by the author.
I listened to it in a day between work sessions.
I'm looking forward to read the author's other work.

Wow - gripping!
An amazing story, utterly gripping, and very well told. The text is beautifully written, with a lovely rhythm. And the story is great - it just unfolds as it goes along, each turn seeming more splendidly fascinating than the last. Edge of the seat stuff!

Will Keep You Guessing!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. It's a bit, sic-fi, a bit love story and a bit thriller... very different from anything else I've read.
What other book might you compare In The Darkness, That's Where I'll Know You: The Complete Black Room Story to, and why?
Man in the Empty Suit by Sean Ferrell. But I can't say why as that would spoil it for potential readers.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
Pretty much all of it, to be honest.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Intrigued, a bit scared, sometimes confused and always interested.
Any additional comments?
I liked that the author read it himself - and did a good job of it too.

Awesome
Could not stop listening to this from start to finish, not a single dull moment. Thanks Luke for writing and narrating such an adventure. sad moments, happy moments, funny moments and more twists and turns than driving a Mini Cooper through the streets of Coventry!

Bizarrely entertaining!
My wife often asks me which book I'm listening to at the moment. I usually respond by telling her the title and a little summery of what it's about. However, when she asked me this question recently, I found myself completely unable to explain what this book is about without making it sound like utter nonsense! But that's the beauty of it! And when you've listened to it, you'll know what I mean! It's highly entertaining, extremely creative, complex yet simple at the same time, and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish!
I'm not sure where to go from here with my next listen!

Liked the story and the fact that is came around full circle. Bit slow in the middle but once through that I couldn't stop listening.
