Ein Anschlag auf das Kölner Polizeipräsidium versetzt das BKA in höchste Alarmbereitschaft.
Während Ansgar David vom BKA versucht, die Hintermänner des Anschlages zu finden, überzeugt der amerikanische Geheimdienst den ehemaligen Topagenten Peter Walsh davon, einen letzten Auftrag anzunehmen, um einen gefährlichen Islamisten in Deutschland zu verhaften.
Es scheint Berührungspunkte zwischen den beiden Fällen zu geben, doch zunächst ahnen Walsh und Ansgar nichts davon. Je enger sie jeder einzeln das Netz um die Verdächtigen ziehen, desto größer wird die Gefahr, in die sie sich begeben.
Und plötzlich scheint es im Angesicht des Todes kein Entkommen mehr zu geben!
