About this listen

What Chance Does A Child Have Against A Bloodthirsty Werewolf?
Allen DeShawn enjoys his tenth summer astride a new bike. It’s 1989 and he doesn’t have a care in the world… because he’s oblivious to the ravenous monster that stalks his town in Michigan. One fateful night his best friend is slaughtered and the Werewolf responsible soon seizes upon Allen’s scent.

What follows is a relentless season of blood and survival. Bodies turn up shredded and eviscerated while the townspeople grow ever more concerned. But one boy armed only with a love for horror movies is uniquely equipped to uncover the truth.

Can Allen unravel the mystery of what pursues him, or will he too fall prey to the insatiable hunger of the Werewolf?

I Killed a Werewolf for My Summer Vacation is a visceral and nostalgic thrill ride through one boy’s summer in the late 80s. If you like werewolves and 80’s horror, you’ll love I Killed a Werewolf for My Summer Vacation.

good story little slow.

good story though it seems like there was something missing as if it had been shortened for listening. Narration was a little droll, no great acting not captivating, but all in all I did enjoy the stor

Quirky werewolf story

Loved this! Wanted an audible I could listen to in the car on our family trip and this hit the spot. Enough description to set the scene but not too much that I couldn’t have it playing in front of preteens. Some parts even engrossed the kids and by the last hour had all put their phones down and were listening along. The kids definitely want to listen to the rest in the series as do I!

Very wordy and boring

This book is like it was translated into English by an AI with a brand new thesaurus it was eager to use. It's unnecessarily flowery and there is no difference between story and when characters talk. The narration is ok but nothing spectacular. Best part of the book is the title.
