I listened to this after listening to their other book for young kids. The techniques for listening and talking with teenagers are great and I've already started putting them to use at home, they definitely help. I did find some of the views expressed in the conversations with the parents a little outdated, but to be fair it is 15 years old.

I wanted to deepens my knowledge s my son is coming to a teenage age. For now we do have a good relationship and we talk a lot. From this book what I’ve learned is that GOOD communication is a key !
There’s some tips and scenarios that we may come cross in near future so hopefully I can use some of them.
Overall good book

Lots of very useful guidance. Somewhat dated in the language and the last part felt a bit preachy but very helpful overall.

I found the contents very useful and I will be trying hard to follow the advice. the narrator however was, as was said in numerous other reviews, quite difficult to listen to. I would however recommend it to all parents!

So, I liked this book. I didn't love it. I don't know what exactly I was expecting, in some instances this fulfilled my needs and in others not so much.

I think ultimately I was after an ultra modern way to communicate with my teens in 2023 and onwards that helps me navigate through today's issues in a way that my parents didn't and a way that my teens will connect with. I'm only in my 40s and being a teen then is NOTHING like being a teen now and I'm searching for help with how to deal with things in this digital age!

At times I felt like I was listening to a little old American lady tell me how to deal with a teenager that I know she couldn't possibly ever relate to.

Worth a listen to build tools from different perspectives... if that's your thing.

Very USA. Some good topics and ideas covered
