About this listen

A steamy, laugh-out-loud romantic comedy about mistakes we make and the chances we take on the road to love.

After a snowstorm grounds her flight, Lucy makes a last-ditch effort to get home for Christmas using a rideshare app. She thinks she’ll be taking a road trip with a stranger...but the guy who shows up is someone she knows all too well. He’s the hookup she ghosted a few months ago, and now she’ll be stuck in a car with him for the most awkward road trip of her life.

Making matters worse, he’s even more gorgeous than she remembers—too bad things between them are frostier than the North Pole. Will the long ride home allow them to get to know each other in surprising new ways? And more importantly, will the season warm things up and send sparks flying yet again? Whatever happens, one thing is clear: It’s going to take a whole lot of Christmas magic to unlock their guarded hearts.

A lovely warm listen, perfect for the Christmas season. I really enjoyed it Lucy and Erik’s journey.

A happy Christmas story

Not the greatest but fun and easy listening - free with prime so why not. Story is simple albeit a bit dull at times but cute to listen to at Christmas time.

Cute and festive, not serious.

I liked this. It’s nice easy listening but I liked the storyline and the quaint and predictable comings and goings through this book. A sweet story.

A nice little Christmassy tale

This wasn’t my vibe!! I thought it could be way more Christmassy for a Christmas romance!! At least it was short and well preformed!

Not for me

Really loved this book, easy listening. The characters and actors voices are great. Would recommend.

Brilliant Christmas Book

A sweet holiday romance of a little formulaic. Inoffensive and a gentle listen for those times when you don’t want to have to concentrate too much.

Sweet

Just enough Christmas. Love the dynamic between the characters. Listened to it at 1.3 speed which was perfect for the male narrator’s voice

Fabulously Christmasy

i took audible membership around Christmas and since this book has Christmas in the title itself, I decided to give it a go. Overall, I felt that this book is unnecessarily long and things has been explained to the level it might not be needed. Narration wise it's fine and they do a decent job.

I'm not sure why this is th title because she doesn't lose him, nor does she try to. Another great festive read with a bit of spice, and I'm quickly becoming a fan of Andi Arndt as a narrator. I liked the main character's history because it brought the awkwardness and the drama from the get-go. The "background" characters were so good, too, but after a while, it started to feel a bit like a Hallmark movie. I liked that this was a little different. They had a history, and it was a believable history with a reason for them to be awkward.

Synopsis
When her flight is grounded due to bad weather, Lucy needs to make other plays to get home. She turns to a ride-share app and is relieved when one is going her way immediately. She is less than thrilled, however, when her ride-share is the guy she ghosted after a one-night stand a month before. Things get even more awkward when their rental care breaks down and they need to share a room in the nearest town until the part for their car arrives.
