Home Work is the 3rd instalment of the Life Lessons series, and revolves mostly about Mac and Tony figuring out their (now open) life together, jostling home, work, the kids’ needs and everything else! The book has the perfect balance of romance, drama, and mystery.
I love this series so much. I already read it, but I’m enjoying it all over again while listening to it. J.F. Harding is doing a great job with his series, and with this book he certainly had his work cut out for him (no spoilers)!

Be advised this is a cliffhanger.
I think it is advised to read the previous books in this series first. Those are the background to getting here.
There is so much emotion to this book. Mac and Tony are living somewhat of a routine life when all their lives are placed in chaos. Mac is working on a case and it doesn’t go as expected. I think listening to the narrator describe so much from Mac’s point of view makes this story stronger. There is plenty of emotion going on with the rest of the characters that the mystery part seems to be a minor thing. The children add plenty to the heart breaking parts of the story. I really hate cliffhangers and don’t know if I’d have invested in this if I’d have known I’d have to wait for the rest of the story. This backs up my opinion that I think cliffhangers need to be published all at once.

I loved the latest installment in this series. I felt the medical part was well handled and researched. The big celebration was so lovely and Pastor Drummonds words were perfect.

I recommend reading the previous two volumes to get a better overall view. I love the story of Mac and Tony, who I have taken to my heart.
"Home Work" begins where most stories end: after the happy ending. Tony and Mac have moved in together and now they are struggling with the usual everyday problems that everyone knows. It's not always easy to balance the relationship, the kids, the job and the household. It's no different for Mac and Tony and yet with all the problems there is never a hint of doubt of their love.
The story is very emotional and that affects several characters. The backstory of the children Ben and Anna is heartbreaking.
Mac is investigating a new case as a homicide detective, which is exciting and tested more than just my nerves with an unexpected twist.
I have rarely been so captivated and at the same time so touched by an audio book. A large part of this was due to J. F. Harding, who has an incredible talent for portraying emotions convincingly and believably. He was the perfect choice for this great story. I loved the audiobook and J. F. Harding took it to the next level.
Highly recommended and I can't wait to listen to the final installment in the series.

Wow, this was a roller coaster ride of emotions. It's hard to say why without giving too much away about the story. Needless to say it had me grinning with happiness, then sobbing uncontrollably.
I love Mac in this book. His drive and determination. His love for Tony which shines through everything
There's a lot of focus on the detective work in this one, possibly more than the other two books.
Excellent.

the couple story was okay...the suspense was still great in this book. I enjoyed the book still and loved how it wrapped up the HEA for the couple. probably could have been done in the previous book but the struggle for the couple was very much realistic

Like the first two books in this series, Home Work doesn’t end on a cliffhanger but you will definitely want to read the next one after you finish it. I strongly recommend that you read or listen to the first two books to get full enjoyment from this story.

The blurb is excellent but there are so many other things I want to say except that they would be spoilers. Let me just say that once again Mac and Tony can’t seem to catch a break; life seems to have it out for them and yet they are also incredibly lucky.

I can’t say enough good things about JF Harding’s wonderful performance of this story. There are things going on with Mac that are so much more intense listening to JF act out the story rather than reading the words myself.

Tony and Mac really deserve the HEA that I know Kaje Harper will give them at the end of the final book in this series. I haven’t read it yet because I’m holding out for the audiobook and I can hardly wait.

I've loved the other books in this series but I think this might be my favorite because it's a romance where we get to see what happens after the couple get together and start trying to merge their lives after the "happy ever after". As in real life, it isn't so easy for Mac and Tony. There are complications from children, job and just the every day details. There is never any question about their love for each other, but it also isn't easy and I loved getting to see these intimate daily details. J.F. Harding does a superb job of bringing all these characters to life here and making us care about every detail of their lives from the mundane to the emotional.

Kaje Harper’s spectacular Life Lessons series continues with Home Work. The third novel continues with the relationship between Mac and Tony, and you’ll need to read the first two books (in order). But don’t worry, it’s easy to get caught up, because the entire series is being released in audio, performed by the marvelous J.F. Harding!

Mac and Tony have moved in together, and are trying to blend work and family into their romance. Mac’s job is the biggest impediment, and I’m not going to spoil it by talking about it here, but it has me anxiously awaiting the release of the audio version of Learning Curve!

There’s a nice balance between the interesting mystery and the focus on the growing family. As Anna and Ben learn to live as siblings, they are also working through past traumas of their own. It’s enjoyable to see how friends and family pitch in to help this growing family.

I’m loving J.F. Harding’s performance in this series. His Mac is just what I imagined in my mind, and he does an amazing job with this huge cast. The children both play important roles, as well as Tony’s mother and Mac’s colleagues. Bravo!

I enjoy the reality of these stories. Kaje Harper has not shied away from reality or written a story with rose colored glasses on. This story is real, raw, harsh, hard, full of love, tragic, scary, sad and so much more. I hope Mac is able to heal and these two finally catch a break! I need them to reach a safe and happy balance.
