About this listen
New York Times best-selling author Hannah Howell traverses the embattled border between England and Scotland, where two warring families prolong centuries of discord....
Storm Eldon was first caught up in the war between England and Scotland as a young girl, when she and her family were held hostage by their sworn enemies, the MacLagans. Years later, Storm finds herself trapped in the clutches of her Scottish adversaries once again. Now she must fight to preserve her loyalties, guard her virtue, and resist the charms of Tavis MacLagan, her handsome Highland captor....

It had started so well, I wasn't a fan of on the massive age gap, but I was overlooking it...
but portraying a blatant rape as a seduction?!? WTAF?!?
She clearly asks him not to & still he persists & I had to stop at the part where she was "giving in" to the rape as seduction... VILE!
He's no better than the other guy who tried to rape her & he "saved" her from him, only to do the exact same thing!
She's 17, so still a child... in my eyes, so it feels even worse!
Being in love with someone does NOT mean you can't resist them... especially after you've seen them being kissed by their mistress!
Authors do love to into overdrive with the whole "I find you irresistible" BS!
What a real shame as it looked like it was going to be an interesting book, with both evil stepmother's, poisonings, clan wars, missing parents & siblings... a real shame!
