Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
From the worldwide Number One bestselling author behind the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning HBO series Big Little Lies and smash hit bestseller Apples Never Fall.
We’re all so busy, caught up in life's moments, big and small . . .
The flight attendant working a shift on her birthday.
The mother struggling alone with two young children.
The newlyweds excited about their tropical honeymoon .
The overworked father missing his kid’s big show.
The young man returning from his best friend’s funeral.
The ER nurse wondering what retirement will bring.
All strangers. All unsuspecting. Each with a life heading in a particular direction – or so they imagine.
Because an elderly woman is about to step into each of their paths. In just a few words, she will make a prediction, tying herself to all of them. And, in being bound to her, these disparate strangers will all face similar existential dilemmas. .
Who is this woman? Is she a genuine clairvoyant? A charlatan? The answer to prayers, or a harbinger of nightmares?
What she will prove to be is an agent of chaos, fraying relationships, putting entire futures into doubt and causing the most ordered of lives to unravel in the most unexpected of ways . . .

Thought provoking
I loved this book! Un-put-downable. It brought to life so many existential questions in the wonderfully constructed characters.

So good
I love all Liane Moriarty’s books. This is no exception. Great story but always something to think about and something to gladden your heart. The only bad thing about it is how long I now need to wait for the next one.

Possibly Liane Moriarty’s best yet
Beautifully narrated, this was an emotional listen. The author balances themes of grief and loss with an ultimately hopeful and thought provoking conclusion. I loved all the characters but Cherry’s first person narration was my favourite. Both narrators were outstanding.

Another excellent read by LM
How does Liane Moriarty come up with her ideas for stories lines let alone all the 'filling'? Each of her books are such different stories and each so fulfillingly complete. This is another fabulous book. Five stars all round. I'm happy to prebook her next title right now.

What a brilliant story
A complex and scary beginning, then the exploration of all the characters or victims, reactions to sometimes terrible news. Liane Moriarty just gets better.

Another winner from Liane Moriarty
I love this author’s books and wish there were another 100 for me to listen to. Her and the narrator always remind me of my wonderful time in Australia. I find her books to be clever, fun and life affirming!! Loved this one and finished it in a day .
