About this listen
The shadow of the Beast stalks Meluscia's every move.
The prophetess' dire warning looms as Meluscia fights to attain the throne. All the while, the dark Master of the Star Portal threatens to slay her and her band of prophets, bringing the world of Hearth into chaos.
Torn from the world he knows, Aven is held captive aboard a ship of ruthless mercenaries. Winter's vision of the horrible creature becomes reality for Aven, and he must face the monsters of his past and present - for there is nowhere to run.
©2018 Brandon Barr (P)2019 Podium PublishingAven comes face to face with the monster in Winter's visions when he is taken by mercenaries, who have imprisoned Kiehueth on their ship. However, all does not go as the mercenaries plan.
Savarah has a change of heart and now believes her destiny is to travel to Praelothia to kill Isolaug. While Ruiek still remains in the shadows until his plan goes awry and he is forced to flee.
This series has been fast moving from the start; a mix of fantasy and sci-fi. Brandon Bar has a very distinctive way of writing and I was sad to learn of his passing as I believe a great talent has been lost.
Different and well worth it
