About this listen

A gripping thriller by the new king of horror

Are you a fan of Stephen King and Dean Koontz? If you're looking for something fresh and new, join the millions of readers/listeners who have already taken the journey to the World's Scariest Places.

An isolated region is plagued with rumors of dark and deadly forces—the locals call it Helltown.

Since the 1980s there have been numerous reports of occult activity and other possibly supernatural phenomena within certain villages and townships of Summit County, Ohio—an area collectively known as Helltown.

When a group of out-out-town friends investigating the legends are driven off the road by a mysterious hearse, their night of cheap thrills turns to chills as they begin to die one by one.

Having read the first book in this series I was hooked. You know how it is when you discover a great writer for the first time. I just loved the story line and the pace at which the book moved. There was never a dull moment. The characters, even the evils ones, were totally believable in the context of the plot. If you like Stephen King you will love this book. Jeremy Bates is as good as Stephen King..no exaggeration. I will not mention the plot as I do not want to spoil it for you.

Great horror story
