Fantastic tense and dark
You really get to know the more peripheral characters in this book and the arcane becomes even more deep and dark. I couldn’t stop reading!

Great narrators, overall compelling but drags in a couple of places
Got this immediately after finishing Ninth House and I have already listened to it twice through. Story has its moments where it drags a bit, but over all it’s a superb sequel to Ninth House, and what an ending!

Freaking awesome
Absolutely killer narration by Lauren. She brings this book to life and she’s so good to listen to.
The book was good although I think it got a bit slow in places. Worth pushing through those bits. Overall it was fantastic.

Brilliant!!
My most anticipated book of this year, and it did not disappoint! the writing was excellent, and the plot captivating, i couldn't stop listing, had me on the edge of my seat. The narrator's did a great job as well! I hope there's gonna be more in this series as the ending was left open!

Better than the Grishaverse
Great characters, rollercoaster plot, entertaining dialogue. What’s not to like?! Leigh Bardugo is so at home in adult literature - I realise that the Grishaverse novels always left me a little unsatisfied - now I know that what I wanted was the extra edge of adult content and the real life feel that brings.
Really looking forward to the next instalment in the series - and may there be many!
