H.R.H. The Prince of Wales
About this listen
Long before the phrase climate change was a universal catchphrase, our new monarch, King Charles III was studying the impact of industrialization on the environment. In this fascinating cross-discipline work, he calls upon his years of research and explores the way in which mankind must work to restore the delicate balance with nature that we've lost in the centuries since the industrial revolution began.
In 'Harmony', His Majesty King Charles III discusses how areas as diverse as architecture, farming and medicine have each abandoned the classical balances with nature that existed in pre-industrial times. More than simply another treatise on global warming, 'Harmony' tells a story that presents a clear, thoughtful look at how our disassociation from nature has helped to in the greatest environmental crisis in the history of mankind.

‘An important book…By promoting the idea of a revolution in consciousness as the remedy for contemporary ills the prince shows he is a modern man.’ THE INDEPENDENT
‘A bold and courageous book.’ THE TELEGRAPH
‘The breadth is panoramic… The book has an engaging candour, inviting the reader into a one-on-one conversation…Harmony reacquaints us with a sense of our collective spirit.’ THE ECOLOGIST
Its well laid out and easy to understand as well as not being to technical. It looks at different things and does a good job in bringing subjects together and linking them. I have listened to it twice and enjoyed it both times.
Ideal for anyone including students and people with a interest in the environment, culture, travel, history, art literature amongst other things.
Very enjoyable listen

I was wrong. Listening to the voice of King Charles III was a surreal experience. He has a wonderful voice and the commitment and love he has for this subject is never questioned.
Have a listen. Read it. Look up the names and the eras he speaks of and you will no more than most Phd grads. The journey will be long and this is a good thing.
There should be a children’s version of this book written by the King and crucially, with references with which they can relate.
Magnificent erudition and abundant soul

Would you listen to Harmony again? Why?
Yes - so many very interesting points that he raised that I would definitely like to go over again.Have you listened to any of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales’s other performances? How does this one compare?
This is the first book of his I have read/listened to, and I really like the fact that he read it himself. Clear, well read and easy going. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The glimpses of hope he offers if we make a collective effort and stand to adjust our way of thinking and to use technology for the betterment of the planet rather than for humankind only.Highlights the efforts around the world that are already making a difference in big business, Transition towns and Permaculture.Any additional comments?
I would encourage as many people as possible to read/listen to this book.Huge topic, very well addressed, succinct
