About this listen

An original full-length novel set in the Halo universe and based on the New York Times best-selling video game series!

August 2558. Rion Forge was once defined by her relentless quest for hope amidst the refuse and wreckage of a post-Covenant War galaxy - years spent searching for family as much as fortune. But that was before Rion and the crew of her salvager ship Ace of Spades encountered a powerful yet tragic being who forever altered their lives.

This remnant from eons past, when the Forerunners once thrived, brought with it a revelation of ancient machinations and a shocking, brutal history. Unfortunately, the Ace crew also made dire enemies of the Office of Naval Intelligence in the process, with the constant threat of capture and incarceration a very real possibility.

Now with tensions mounting and ONI forces closing in, Rion and her companions commit to this being’s very personal mission, unlocking untold secrets and even deadlier threats that have been hidden away for centuries from an unsuspecting universe....

words can't express how much I've wanted someone to fully realise the potential for storytelling halo has and she seemingly does it as effortlessly as breathing. Three back to back books making meaningful shake ups to the universe and building beautifully real characters with so much depth.

Kelly Gay is the author Halo has been waiting for

I’ve really enjoyed this book series but feel this book has been a let down. The story itself wasn’t bad and dose leave you on a cliff hanger, but the narration was terrible, I couldn’t work out what accent the brother and sister was supposed to have as it kept changing and felt the voice for Rion was just too weak for her character. Kelly Gay please bring back Scott Brick 👍🏻

Underwhelmed by this follow on

helps build a bridge towards infinite and provide alot of info to many questions along with giving more character development which i wanted, giving me hope for more fantastic lore.

A fantastic edition

I’ve been reading all of the Halo novels in chronological order for the release of Halo Infinite. For a while I was starting to think I had heard it all in this universe. I was starting to understand where it was going and I didn’t think the writers would take it anywhere else… Well, this trilogy (especially Point of Light) has blown my mind! I really enjoyed this series and I’m now more excited than ever to get to the next book. I’m at the point now where I’m filling the gap between Halo 5 and Infinite and it’s all very interesting!

A must listen if you’re a fan of the new Halo games and a wonderful listen if you enjoy hearing performances from actors from the games!

Just when I thought I knew it all.

A brilliant follow on from Renegades which had a truly awful narrator for a halo book. Tim Dadabo is arguably the best halo narrator I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. 11/10. Fantastic story by Kelly Gay too and I look forward to hearing more from her. With an ending like “this” there has to be more...

Amazing

Sometimes hard to tell the difference between characters due to narrator performance. Good story about previous characters in the Halo saga.

Good story

Kelly Gay does a great job of brining the characters to life and there's references that reach far into Halo lore that newbies can understand and satisfies those more experienced fans.

Tim Dadabo also does a fantastic job at not only reading the story, but giving each character a unique personality and reprising his role as the iconic 343 Guilty Spark.

Must read for Halo fans!

I enjoyed hearing more about the ace of spades crew. It needed more of them and less of spark. I feel like a lot of plot was jumpskipped over in places.

Wasn't a fan of the voice acting in this one though. Rion sounded too weak and feable for me. I know why the actor was chosen as this is a much more spark driven story.

It was nice to have a small refresher on the forerunner saga but its still confusing as hell.

I think I would have followed a lot closer if I had been physically reading this one. So I'm gonna go buy the book and try again.

A good overall story
