Summary

It's 1882, and once again, Oliver Redcastle is about to dive into mayhem. He's no stranger to bloodshed. Barely settled into his new home, Oliver makes the acquaintance of John D. Rockefeller. Oliver's hopes for a peaceful life are shattered when Rockefeller offers him a job investigating a railway explosion and makes it clear that Oliver had better take the case - or else. With little choice, Oliver accepts the assignment and is plunged into trouble once again.

Enjoyable American detective story

I enjoyed the plotting and host of characters. The main couple are interesting and sparky. I’d read more in the series.
