Essential Listening/reading for any coach regardless of sport, and any parent, whether their child is involved in sport or not.

As a mom of a sporty girl I chose this book after seeing it on the shelves in a Johannesburg book store. It worked exceptionally well as an audiobook and I loved “meeting” Lauren and hearing her tell her story. An enjoyable listen and interesting to learn about the world of competitive female sports at the highest level.

This is such a good book. Considering her achievements Lauren is humble in talking about her fears and what she believed to be failures. This is not a book about winning everything it is a book educating us about the real cost of 'success' for women in competitive sports. Having said that it is still very inspiring for all capabilities.
I will listen to this over and over, it's so grounding. Well done Lauren. what a breath of fresh air.
