The dog sniffs Jimmy's legs.

Jimmy sniffs the dog's legs.

The dog sniffs Jimmy's bottom.

Jimmy sniffs... aaargh.

Horrible, horrible, horrible.

It's a dog¿s life for Jimmy when the Gizmo gets really gross.

A third Gizmo yarn from Australia's master of madness.

Editor reviews

The entertainment value of the already engaging Gizmo series is immeasurably enhanced by its getting the audio treatment. Comedic actor Francis Greenslade performs Come Back Gizmo, the third book in Paul Jennings' funny and endearing four-part series, with the help of numerous wacky sound effects and musical accompaniments worthy of an old-fashioned radio drama.

Greenslade, however, would be hard-pressed not to do justice to the work of Paul Jennings, for the Australian author has sold almost 7 million books and has been voted the favorite author of his continent's children over 40 times precisely because his books contain perpetually funny, genuine, and appealing voices.

Critic reviews

"It¿s a challenge not to giggle and guffaw all the way through this Australian yarn. If there's anyone around, they'll think you¿re as bonkers as poor Stephen, the unfortunate lad who light-fingers a gizmo on a dare, quickly becomes guilt-ridden, and tries to dump the unwanted booty, only to find that it won't go away. Francis Greenslade's humorous reading is backed by unexpected sound effects, from whistle slides to background screams, that make this tape as hard to put down as the mysterious gizmo."
