'An edge-of-your-seat thriller that'll keep you guessing right until the end, get this to the top of your reading pile' HEAT

** The new heart-stopping emotional thriller from the Queen of the Big Reveal **

Robyn 'Avril' Managa was twelve when she witnessed her controlling and abusive father murder her mother. Put into care while her well-connected father was given a new identity in Witness Protection, Robyn has lived with the trauma of that day ever since.

Now in her twenties, Robyn has decided she wants a family reunion - so is killing people connected to her father's case, leaving on their bodies the note: GIVE HIM TO ME.

Dr Kez Lanyon is called onto the case. But can Kez get into Robyn's mind before she kills again? Or is she about to become Avril's latest victim?

Profiler and therapist Kez Lanyon returns in a gripping new stand-alone novel from Sunday Times bestselling author Dorothy Koomson.

Critic reviews

A riveting revenge thriller with a dark streak of feminist rage. Clever, complex and utterly compulsive, it pairs a gripping premise with a sobering theme. Violence against women, abuse, power and corruption are all explored with skill, perfectly topped off with a signature big reveal (Kia Abdullah)

The characters in this book are superb. I couldn’t wait to get stuck in after the last Kes book. And this does not disappoint. Gripping, twisty, steamy and heart wrenching all in one book. I absolutely loved it and the voice actors were perfect.
I really hope Dorothy Koomson writes a sequel.

Strong female lead character

This is a really interesting story. It kept me engaged to the end, though it was a difficult listen at times because of the hard subject matter. The narration was brilliantly done. Though ‘pick up the gun kez’ is now living rent free in my head. I think the ending let it down a little but definitely a recommended read from D.K as usual.

Great story, great narration

Dorothy Koomson is my favourite author, so I might be biased in that sense, but I think this is one of her best books. The characters are so well written, the story slots together so well, but without you anticipating what happens next. All of this makes it a thoroughly enjoyable book, with the addition of a fantastic narrator! She reads the book and the characters so well, it helped me get invested in them quite quickly. I really enjoyed listening to the conversation between the author and narrator at the end too, something I don’t usually listen to in other books. Buy it!
