About this listen

Slide Further Under the Duvet, get yourself comfortable, and let Marian take you places you've never been before. Places like the Irish air-guitar championships, a shopping trip to Bloomingdales with a difference, and Cannes with a chronic case of Villa-itis. Along the way you'll encounter knicker-politics, fake tans, sticky-out ears and passionate love affairs both with make-up and Toblerones. And of course, agony aunt, Mammy Walsh is on hand to solve all your problems. Hilarious and poignant, down-to-earth and moving, Marian's long-awaited second volume of journalism and previously unpublished writing is the modern woman's perfect companion. So put the kettle on and grab that Kit Kat Chunky, everything else will wait.©2006 Marian Keyes (P)2006 W. F. Howes Ltd. Essays Literary History & Criticism Women's Fiction Witty Funny

I had to
Give up. Narrator tried too hard and clearly was no familiar with the text. Having listened to the other two books, I think the content in this was also lacking. V disappointing

Narration is dreadful

A massive disappointment, a waste of a credit I can’t listen anymore, poor narration and weak anecdotes.

I expected to laugh but was hugely underwhelmed.

Many of the stories have already featured in other audiobooks! The narration was poor. Probably one of the poorest books by Ms Keyes.

Disappointing

I was really looking forward to hearing this book, I had no high expectations - I bought it for the beach and anticipated easy listening humour. Boy was I disappointed. It rambles along, going nowhere. Its like background noise, a lot of similar words read in a monotonous tone. I like shopping, make up, films etc but I had no interest in the narrators opinion, they weren't amusing or entertaining. This book is read by the author's sister, the only positive thing about the reading is that she has the correct Irish accent.

Dull! Dull! Dull!
