I really enjoyed this book which is funny and touching by turns. It was very clearly read which was great for me as a language learner.

Any comprehensible input will improve your German, so this wasn't a waste of time. But I found the storyline boring and full of plotholes. Moreover, the narrator stressed every word, which sounded really unnatural. Finally, no pdf transcript is included (unlike with pons audiobooks for learners).
