Feel More Confident in Negotiations

Just finished listening to this audiobook and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Love that there's no fluff and it gets straight to the point. As an entrepreneur myself I found the questions to ask yourself to prepare for your first negotiation to be very helpful. The tips on active listening also work in life in general, not just in negotiating. it's a skill many people need to work on and I'm glad it was addressed. I also appreciated the tips and tricks in the "persuasive techniques and rhetoric" section. Normally, I dread having to go into a negotiation with suppliers but after listening, I am feeling way more confident and look forward to my next negotiation. Both seasoned professionals and people just starting out can and will benefit from this guide. Highly recommend.

An excellent resource!

Very sound and solid principles of negotiation! The author teaches the technique of presenting a more favorable solution by discussing how your position benefits the other person in the negotiation. Effective negotiation is not an attempt to “win” the deal but is a strategic and deliberate approach that produces a win-win situation. This book also does an excellent job of explaining methods and characteristics that are not the best options to use for negotiations. This book covers foundational principles and knowledge to develop or enhance your skillset to become a great negotiator. I learned a lot and I plan on using these principles not just at work but in conversations with others outside of work when I feel my solution is the best option. The tools and techniques covered within this book have far-reaching, positive impacts well-outside of a “typical” negotiation. I highly recommend this book!
