About this listen
I died and was accidentally reborn as an [angelic monstrosity].
So now I'm building a holy dungeon-tower that is tall enough to reach the gods...so that I can complain about it!
But the humans think that I am trying to destroy the world.
This is the first volume of the Final Core, a dungeon core base-building LitRPG series.
©2022 D.M. Rhodes (P)2023 Podium Audioit's a fun system and interesting world.
the characters are fun, a bit goofy but likeable.
overall a fun and light-hearted read!
only thing I might not be the biggest fan of was the "occultist notes" at the end of the chapters, about the mythology behind the fiction. I imagen one could find that interesting. but for me it was a bit frustrating and broke me out of the feelings I've gotten from the story by references to reality :/ but that's mostly my preference and one could just skip.
there's also tidbits of unrelated thoughts/writings at the beginning of each chapter, where great for building the world, but also got a bit tedious at times :/
but all and all would recommend! :)
fun and lighthearted

The start may be a bit awkward to get into, but soon after the story takes shape quite well. It has been so far enjoyable and there's plenty of suspense and grand moments, but the true highlights have to be the author notes.
I have rarely seen stories have author notes that are interesting to listen to at the end or during many chapters (the most recent I had listened to was the Ciaphas Cain series), but these are more than wecomed additions on the IRL mythology used and side commentary.
An unexpectedly good book

Also like how the main character progressen from a simple bird to something akin to a cult leader/holy symbol
an intresting take on faith

Here is a more accurate summary:
I died on a battlefield, with a sword deep in my chest.
I was reincarnated as a female bird.
It was peacefull, making my nest and taking care of my eggs, when I heard two voices.
Seems like I wasn't properly reincarnated.
I was supposed to be a bird, in this reincarnation, but the goddess I prayed to wanted me to be something else.
I was reincarnated again.
This time into an Angelic Dungeon.
Now I am building up to the sky to ask them to make me into a bird again, so that I can take care of my eggs.
