Starting to feel the shift
My oldest will probably be moving out soon, and I’ve been feeling this mix of excitement and low-key panic. This book helped me see I’m not the only one going through it. It talks about all the weird feelings—like losing your role a bit, how to stay close with your kid without hovering, and even what to do with your time now. It’s honest, funny, and actually helpful. I’m glad I found this now, before the house gets quiet.

A Must-Listen for This Transition
When my last child moved out, I felt a mix of emotions—pride, sadness, and a little lost. This book helped me shift my mindset and see this stage as a new beginning rather than an ending. The advice is practical, and I appreciated the focus on both personal growth and strengthening relationships with adult kids. It gave me the push I needed to start prioritizing myself again. If you're adjusting to an empty nest, this is worth reading.

This book hit HOME
Baptist does a great job of really hitting on some emotional times for this gal! I am right at the cusp of being an empty nester and the chapters were rich with tips and tricks to help me survive, nay, THRIVE, during this next season.
I love how he hits on the relationship with me and my spouse, becoming my true self, and also the aspect of looking at my children as ADULTS-EEK!
Great read and I would recommend!

Helped Me Through a Tough Shift
When my last kid moved out, I wasn’t prepared for how weird the quiet would feel. I picked up this audiobook hoping for some direction, and it really helped me feel less alone. The advice was down-to-earth and gave me ideas for how to reconnect with myself and shift how I see my relationship with my adult kids. The narrator had a calm, steady voice that was easy to listen to. If you're in this stage, it’s worth a listen.

I wish I read this book earlier
With my daughter, leave her for college earlier this year, my wife has definitely had empty nest syndrome. I thought I would read this book in order to support our emotions and challenges with our daughter leaving however, this book provided me with my own insightful strategies relatable stories, and action advice. My wife is now reading the book after I raved about it with a hope to reunite and redefine her purpose and connections.
