Summary
A laugh-out-loud fake dating romantic comedy from MILLION-COPY bestseller Portia MacIntosh!
Cara and Millsy have broken up... sort of.
After years of being everyone's favourite couple, always up for a party and having fun wherever they go, things have fizzled out.
But when they realise they have a whole calendar of events and celebrations with friends and family coming up, Cara and Millsy can't face letting them down.
So they decide to make a pact: just convince everyone they're as madly in love as ever and get through the festivities without causing suspicion, and then deal with the break up in the new year. How hard can it be...?
Swept up in the festive spirit, will Cara and Millsy fake it til they make it? Or will they realise they are meant to be after all...?
Join MILLION-COPY bestseller Portia MacIntosh for the ultimate fake relationship romantic comedy. If you loved The Plus One Pact, you can't miss this!

Abit predictable...
The story had a predictable ending and the narrator's voice grated on me! Not sure I'd choose anymore books narrated by the same person!

I love Portia's Listens!
Having listened to 'The Plus One Pact' and loved it, I was looking forward to this sequel.
I was worried that the couple in this book had broken up but It was still so funny and I laughed out loud at Cara and Millsey, they get themselves into some scrapes! 😂
Karen Cass is one of the best narrator's there is and she always brings characters to life, making everything hilarious. Portia Macintosh and Karen Cass are perfect Chick Lit!
I still don't like the words 'Agog' and 'Padding' it has no place in a book😂
I used my monthly credit purchasing this book and I am happy I did! If you like Portia Macintosh books then you will love this book. I recommend it 👍

Not the strongest story but perfect easy listening thanks to Karen Cass narrating
Not one of Portia’s best stories, something was lacking about it, but I didn’t mind because I’m into very easy listening at bed time, and anything narrated by Karen cass who has a wonderfully soothing voice is a winner for me.

This is a sequel !
I kept having Deja vue with this story and then realised the reason why is that it is a sequel to ‘the plus one pact ‘. When I realised this ( quite a bit into the book after googling why I recognised the characters ) it suddenly was much more enjoyable as it’s then the continuation of Cara and Millsy’s story. I really wish this had been made clear at the start of the book, but it spoilt it to begin with as it lacked context. Anyway it’s a nice easy read and the combination of writer and narrator is always a winner.

Not for me
Unfortunately, the break up is just a plot point to have a story. It is never explained nor does it shine it through why they broke up. We never saw any kind of development. The only thing standing between them was a misunderstanding. A simple two minute conversation would have cleared that up. The mfc had some problems with relatives which led nowhere. Her step-brother of her boyfriend made the moves on her which led nowhere. The boyfriend‘s work is/will be mainly on another continent which led nowhere. So I did not really get the point of this book. It just was not my cup of tea.
The narrator does not have any range so it was sometimes hard to keep up with who was talking.
Plus point is that the situations did not unnecessarily get dragged out. The scenes were fast and flowing. I liked the inner thoughts of the main character.
