Summary
Adeline Rossi doesn’t need a psychic to tell her that destiny lies far from home. With a dream job lined up, she crosses the Atlantic to Italy with career aiming aspirations. When she arrives in the city of love, it’s anything but. Her ridiculously hot boss is grumpy, and the head of the design team is a monumental problem.
Plagued by unsettling dreams, business tycoon Stone Crenshaw can’t wait for the renovations in his historic hotel to end. If that wasn’t bad enough, he wrestles with an instant attraction to his accident-prone new hire. But when a family-oriented hotelier decides to sell, Stone manipulates the situation and adds fake fiancé to Adeline’s list of managerial responsibilities.
Not everyone welcomes the happy news of the loving couple’s engagement. When obstacles threaten to tear them apart, will Stone cross a professional line or lose Adeline for good?

A Great Story
Fake Fiancé: A Second Chance Office Romance Audio Book by Amy McKinley is an entertaining and well written story. It has more going on in the story than your usual romance story that adds a depth it. I thought the mix of characters was really good and while listening to it I got a real sense of each of their different personalities. The way the author has distinguished them is really easy to get behind.
I thought the overall story was great. I like the fact that the book is set in Europe. This for me differentiates it from other books in this genre. My only issue is that the narration was a little hard to follow at times. There needed to be a few more pauses between sentences and paragraphs however it was still easy enough to understand where these breaks fell naturally.
I very much enjoyed this audio book and will definitely check out more of them from this author.

Loved.
So this book was really quick and easy to listen to which was good because busy work week. I really enjoyed this, I love me an office romance trope and this hit all the right spots. Really enjoyed Adeline and Stone together. Story flowed. Loved the pace it went at.

A fast paced story
I really enjoyed this story. It was fast paced, quick witted and the characters were well written and likable. 19 year old Adeline is due to start a new dream job in sunny Italy after graduating when an encounter with a psychic at her sorority graduation party tells her to remember to follow her heart. Determined to only focus on her career and her hard earned success, a spanner is thrown in the works when her hot, sexy boss Stone asks her to be his fake fiance. I got lost in this story and found it entertaining with great scene setting from the author. I also found the narration to this story added more depth and really helped bring the story to life

Love it
This was an emotional read. It is a story I love and the characters are so well written. I really enjoyed the concept of this story and the way it was paced not to fast not to slow. I like how we got to read from each character POV. Other relationship’s and dynamics are also shown which further impact’s this storytelling. Pasts can have an ugly way of revealing. I love the audio person on this book they done a great job of converting the characters.

Brilliant Story
When you think you have scored the best job, then you have to decide do you go with what your boss wants or not?
Adeline has just found her dream job but there is one thing she has been asked by her boss to be his "fake fiancé". This may become difficult when the line between professional and plutonic becomes blurred and will they be able to keep their feelings separate.
I love this author, the book itself is a novella but it packs a punch which feels like a full novel. The characters are well written, developed and create a great chemistry within the story. I could not put the book down and really enjoyed the character of Adeline as she was funny and would also love to see these characters in the future.
If you love a great romance novel with a bit of a twist this is a brilliant story to get your teeth into.

Second chance, fast love, easy to read
This story was interesting, a little fast paced but definitely romantic.
Adenine has her career path all planned out, and the first step after college is to work for Stone Enterprises. Thanks to her soriety sister, she's on her way to work as Stone's personal assistant and away from her clingy ex.
As soon as Adeline arrives in Italy, she feels a connection with the hotel and also a connection to Stone, which she can't explain.
When Stone needs her to be his fake fiancé for a business deal, she's more than happy to help out, but on her own terms.
Adeline was a likeable character that seemed to be older than she actually was, she was extremely confident and took charge, not letting anyone walk over her, including Stone.
Stone was a cool headed business guy, but something about the hotel was making him uncomfortable, but he can't figure out what it is.
The mix of dreams and a past life made this story interesting to read, and also helped explain the instant attraction between these two. The epilogue was also a nice touch.
I listened to this story as an audio book, the narration was easy to listen to and I would happily listen to a book read by Regan Brown again.

Worth a listen
Cute romantic short book with good character building which is as impressive considering this isn’t hours and hours long. I quite liked the main character she was sweet and quirky at the same time. The narrator did a fantastic job and really fit perfectly with the characters and was easy to listen to.
I got this free for a honest review but I actually really enjoyed it and I would of definitely brought it myself. The only complaint I do have is that I wish it was a little bit longer.

Sweet and Romantic!
This story is a little bit unusual. The description says it is a second-chance romance, but it isn't quite what you are thinking. There is an element of mystery thrown into the chemistry and connection between Adeline and Stone that adds an interesting dimension to the story.
I enjoyed listening to the book. There is a lot going on in the plot and, given that the audiobook is less than 3 hours and 30 minutes, the story moves pretty fast. I enjoyed how unconventional the characters were, particularly Adeline. As expected of an office romance, she is intelligent, hardworking and professional. But she is also a touch quirky with an adorable side of clumsy. Stone is more conventional, but that changes too, as his relationship with Adeline develops.
Overall, the audiobook was sweet and fun with a definite feel-good HEA.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

A rouse that became real....
Fake Fiancé: A Second Chance Office Romance by Amy McKinley
4 Stars!!!!
I really love the audio books. I like to be able to plug in my earphones and hear the book and go about my jobs. I love how the narrator is able to accentuate her voice and bring the characters to life. I was able to just drift off into the book and visualize the goings on. I really felt as though I was part of the story.
The characters are really brought to life by the narrator. I was really able to feel all the emotions Adeline was feeling and really routed for her and Stone. It may have started out as a rouse but it all falls into place. I really enjoyed this audio book and will definitely read and/or listen to more from this author.
