I have read nearly all this series of books and been a fan for years. I really enjoyed this one.

I love every In Death book and this one is no different. This story is more complicated than her last few books but it made it an interesting and enthralling read. Susan Ericksen is brilliant as usual. Can’t wait to read the next instalment.

This is one of the best in this very impressive series! The storyline was intricate and intriguing, so very topical and current. Add to that the varied characters and colour with sporadic humour, justifiable anger, and camaraderie and this book has the whole package.

This was superbly narrated by Susan Ericksen as usual. Her portrayal of every character is just perfect, her accents are great, but her portrayal of Peabody is the absolute star on the crown! She makes that character just come to life! Perfect. (My favourite, then Dallas, Roarke and Bella). 😊

All of the regular personalities were present, even if briefly, and it’s good to know that Nadine will have her third best seller!

I loved this book. I can tell it will be one I listen to over and over. I loved that Yancie was involved in the investigation and Shelby. Peabody was a lot more kick ass in this book which is what I like to see. I just loved all the side stories. Just a fab addition to this amazing series of books.

Nobody writes quite like J.D.Robb and with 52 books in the series so far it is still as entertaining as the very first book and I see no reason why the series wouldn't be a bit as a tv show too. This book was slightly different to most of the books, in the fact that right of the bat Eve knew who was involved and the rest of the book was proving her case and shouting down a big organisation, mag detecting skill. The characters are the reason the series works so well and they often offer a lightness to serious matters, from Mavis excitement over everything to Peabody's loose trousers. The case will tug at your heartstrings and it is scary to think that some people actually think that way. On to the next case.
The killer of Ariel Byrd made some simple mistakes and lying to Eve Dallas doesn't help her prime suspect look innocent but things are complicated and it is a lot more than just a lovers argument. As Eve and her team look closer to her prime suspect they find connections to a church group that acts more like a cult. Soon Homeland security and The FBI are involved and Eve is not just solving the murder but rescuing woman and children. Can she take down a group that isn't afraid to murder?
I am so glad Susan Ericksen has been the voice the whole way through the series because for me she is the voice of Eve, Peabody, Roake and the rest of the team and I can't imagine anybody else doing it justice.

I have enjoyed this whole series and it still doesn't disappoint. The characters are endearing and, while there are some slightly irritating 'restatements' in each novel (Dr Mira's 'excellent legs' for example) it is these characters as well as the crimes themselves that keep me eagerly anticipating the next book.

Another excellent story in the in death series. I can’t remember when was the last time the series got less than 5 stars off me. This story was amazing, but I won’t give details and spoil it for others.

I was a bit disappointed with the last couple of stories, but this one is back to the usual high standard. It’s always good hearing about the lives of some of the regular characters, and this story was a complicated one. However, I must admit I find Eve’s less than generous attitude to those around her is getting a bit tedious. And I’m bored with her attitude to Summerset. She needs to grow up a bit!! Having said all that, I really enjoy this series and I’m already looking forward to the next one.
