About this listen
Calder Seton is an unapologetic manwhore. Former Texas Ranger turned private security agent for Elite, he’s an expert at keeping his heart to himself. His employer wishes he’d do the same for his body. Calder has a habit of sleeping with Elite’s clients and they’ve told him to keep it in his pants or find a new job. That’s fine with Calder. He has a new playmate anyway, virginal actor Robby Shaw.
Robby Shaw spent most of his life sheltered from the world until he lands a role in an LA kid’s show and becomes the fake boyfriend of A-list actor, Elijah Dunne. When that relationship ends in humiliation and heartache, Robby meltdowns epically, landing him in county lockup and on the radar of Calder Seton, who he hasn’t seen in over a month.
A sizzling hookup leaves both Robby and Calder questioning their life choices, and when Robby’s life is threatened, Calder doesn’t hesitate to step in, free of charge. Unfortunately, Robby hires Elite before he can volunteer, putting himself on Calder’s list of untouchables until they can solve a murder.
The rules of Romancelandia state only a virgin can tame a manwhore, but both Robby and Calder have a pile of baggage and everything from a cult to anonymous killers standing in their way. Can they find a way to heal from their pasts so they can have a future?
Exasperating is the third book in the Elite Protection Services Series and contains age-gap, high-heat romance with an HEA and no cliffhangers.
Warning: This book references past childhood abuse.

Calder was an awesome MC as well and was a perfect juxtposition! The plot itself kept me fascinated from the beginning. A very well executed book!
Narration: MCs' characteristics were matched with great voices! Spot on performance!

Wow, this book definitely starts with a punch. So much happens in the first 20% - an arrest, intimacy, murder! This is a very intense story, especially for Robby. Occasionally we get a glimpse at his childhood which was hard and abusive until he managed to escape for Hollywood. His recent actions are all going against him though. Calder finds himself quickly falling for the young man regardless of the walls he put up around his heart years ago after suffering hurt and loss.
Robby's character breaks Calder, and my, heart. He has such a low self image/worth and feels invisible to the world around him.
There is a really interesting plot to the story alongside the relationship developing between the two men. It goes along with Robby's history with his family and the religion/cult that they are a part of and the goings on with that in recent years. Calder's past also comes into play as he looks into it but Robby takes the strong role and offers his care and support to help the other man move forward. I really enjoyed the romance that develops between such different men. It seemed really natural, though there were some helpful nudges from their friends.
I love this series. There are hard hitting emotions, strong bonds formed with friendships and lovers and there are a great group of people involved right from the start. Past characters, especially Wyatt, Linc and Charlie, step up and are there through the really hard times for Robby which means so much to him considering he feels so alone.
Definitely another recommended read from this author. You're drawn in right from the start and gripped right through the story with the characters and the drama.
Liam has done great work narrating this series and brings the story to life for Robbie and Calder in this third book of the series. Robbie comes across as innocently as expected but I wasn't too sure on Calder's though it didn't stop me from enjoying the story.
A great age gap, hurt/comfort story

Robby is such a sweet character. He has had a hard childhood and doesn’t feel worthy. But his innate sweetness is the thing that draws Calder (who gets about a bit - if you know what I mean!). But then we see that it’s so much more than that which then draws them together.
We have lots going on - involving both Robby and Calder’s pasts. We also have some past characters helping - and this also helps to show Robby that he is worthy.
As I said the narrators voice really brings the story to life and kept me just as hooked as I was in my first read through of the ebook.
Just as good as Intoxicating and Captivating

Robbie a semi famous actor finds himself adrift and when he runs into trouble he is put with Calder by his friends at Elite, the one man who seems to truly see him. Although there is a lot going on in the story it is written in such a way that it flows very well it may not be my favourite one but this is a very enjoyable book. I am looking forward to Connolly’s story next or maybe it will be Webster’s turn.
4.5* of listening pleasure
