Summary
We've won the battle, but not the war.
He's still out there and his threat is haunting me day and night.
The only way to defeat my father, is to best him.
I sacrificed the love of my life for him.
I hope it wasn't all for nothing.
I hope I can find out what he's planning before it's too late.
Before he unleashes hell on earth.
Because if he does, it will all have been for nothing.
And everyone I love will die anyway.
I have to stop him. No matter what it takes.
Elven Heir is the last book in this gay urban fantasy romance and ends in a happy-ever-after. The books must be listened to in order.

Fantastic end to a great series
I have really enjoyed this series, and MCs Jude and Roman. From the beginning, these two were solid and fated to be together. They each forgot that sometimes. Jude got something of a martyr 'I must do this alone to save those I love' complex, while Roman allowed self-doubt and a bit of inferiority complex to bog him down. Made me want to smack them both sometimes. Eventually, and with a bit of help from their friends, they remember they are better together. This has been a phenomenal series as Roman and Jude start out 'knowing' who the monsters are and then find that all they believed in is messed up. Who are the real monsters? So many twists and turns. The ending came as a bit of a surprise to me, but it was perfect. Everyone pretty much got what was coming to them in the end. That said, I didn't 'hate' Keegan. He became a monster, but without the Elven Duty and the awful things done to him as a child to 'protect' the world, his fate might have been different. Of course, then we wouldn't have this great story.😁
The narration was pretty good, although some of the female voices sounded weird and caricaturish.

Brilliant end to an enjoyable series
John York has done an amazing job with narrating this series. I've loved listening to the story unfold over the three books and throughout, the tension, emotion and action is brought to life and really draws you in
I really don't want to give much away as this is the final book in the series! I am, though, fully ok to say that it's a fabulous read and finishes off the series with a great amount of drama and action as Jude and Roman battle to finally defeat Keenan, Jude's father. Yes, this is a series to be read in order due to the series story arc.
We were left on a cliffhanger at the end of book two, as Jude decided it's best to break things off with Roman after being threatened by Keenan (luckily for me this is recapped in the first couple of chapters as I don't have the best memory). There's support from their friends Issa and Hendrix, Otis is called on to help out with his technical know how and, of course, my favourites, Royal and Darling, are back.
Fans of the series have a fast paced, packed finale to look forward to as there are more monsters to be killed, family to fight with and a evil madman to defeat.

Great addition to the series!
This is one of my favorite series, and it was a delight to hear the amazing narration Mr. York made of this book 3. Roman and Jude's adventures continues in this final installment of the series after an intense ending in book 2 and I enjoyed a lot how their bond and love for each other overcome any distress, misunderstandings and doubts they could have. It was a treat hearing the action and danger in between the perfect heartwarming moments all beautifully narrated by Mr. York with his smooth voice, wonderful acting and sensible following of how the characters develop. Loved it!

Amazing end
I have loved the Monster Hunter series and this book is a great finale. Jude and Roman are lovable characters and the beginning of this book was pretty heartbreaking. It picks up right where the last volume left off, so I recommend listening to the books in order.
Roman and Jude are trying to find and also defeat Jude's father Keenan. But this is not an easy mission. What I liked a lot were Royal and Darling, as in the last volume - you just have to like those two.
Otherwise, the story entertained me well: There was a lot of action and drama, heartbreak, but also fights and emotions as well as unexpected twists. I liked the world-building, in which there are many battles to save the world as Jude and Roman know it.
John York is a fantastic narrator. He has a pleasant voice and I enjoyed his performance. He did a super job portraying the characters with all the emotions, bringing the story to life.

Teamwork
Loved seeing Jude and Roman finally win all their battles both personally and externally. What I really enjoyed was seeing them come to realize that they would succeed only together and that they were so much stronger together than alone. Great performance by John York. The characters came to life in all their struggles, pain and triumph.

Fantastic Finale
I just loved the finale to Monster Hunt.
It finished out strongly with all the threads tied up and with a satisfying ending. Really, Jude, that was some impressive working.
The audio was great. John Solo is a solid narrator who is easy to listen to.
I adore their changelings so it was great to see them in the epilogue

Forever Changes.
MM, Urban Fantasy, Romance. Must be enjoyed as part of the series and in series order due to the story continuing from book to book. Twists and turns throughout this fast paced plot with lots of action and drama. More shocking revelations, (didn't see that coming!!!) Difficult to stop listening to....need to know wtf else could possibly happen!! Thoroughly enjoyed this installment in their story.
