Summary

From the million-copy Scandinavian best seller....

On a hot summer's day, a car speeds through the streets of Helsingborg. When it reaches the harbour, the driver keeps going, straight into the cold, dark sea.

A body in the water.

But it is not a suicide. The autopsy reveals that this man has been dead for some time. He was murdered two months ago, and his body has been in the deep freeze. As more bodies are discovered, Fabian Risk must hunt a killer with a mission: to preserve his victims and create the perfect death....

From the best-selling author of Victim Without a Face.

Oh my such a missed opportunity

Rarely does a narrator go from sublime to ridiculous if you think scandi detectives speak with faux northern Irish accents you are in for a treat

Great book in a gripping series

If you like your Scandi Noir particularly gruesome, you'll like this series. The writer doesn't pull any punches but takes you to some very strange places!! Listen, but don't listen alone in the woods like I did! The narrator does a great job of adding tension and distinguishing between not only a wide range of characters, but also helpfully between the Danish and Swedish police forces.

Excellent Nordic noir

This was an amazing police procedural. I must read listen to the rest of the series ASAP’ it was very dark and twisty. Great baddies

took a while

This book had been on my wish list for sometime but I finally purchased and read it. I would have given it a 5 star review but it took a while for the pieces to come together and, sadly, the narrator and his accents for the different characters was, at times, strange. Am now about to start on book 3 of the series, so have not been put off in any way

Not recommended

I gave up after 10 chapters- I just couldn’t take any more of the story or narration
