Summary

Three years ago, Lift asked a goddess to stop her from growing older - a wish she believed was granted.

Now, in Edgedancer, the barely teenage nascent Knight Radiant finds that time stands still for no one. Although the young Azish emperor granted her safe haven from an executioner she knows only as Darkness, court life is suffocating the free-spirited Lift, who can't help heading to Yeddaw when she hears the relentless Darkness is there hunting people like her with budding powers.

The downtrodden in Yeddaw have no champion, and Lift knows she must seize this awesome responsibility.

A light read in between books!

This novel offers a new, interesting perspective through the eyes of Lyft, who is a dramatically different person than previous main characters in the main series. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have only given the story 4 stars because previous books have set an incredibly high standard.

A masterclass in vetting characters for use.

This book is excellent, and with the authors notes at the end, becomes truly incredible.

A lighter every in the Stormlight Archive series

Edgedancer walks a fine line between the dark backdrop of the world of Stormlight Archive and the light-hearted, almost goofy nature of Lift. Uplifting, one could say...

More Stormlight but lighter with more humour

Lift and Wendell are much more humorous characters than the stoic bunch in the main books and it’s a nice change of pace.

Awesome!

The main character is one of my favorite characters of all time! One of the better books in the Stormlight series.

Brilliant

You should read this after the first 2 stormlight books but could read it on its own. It's much more lighthearted than the novels and Lyft is a brilliant character.

best book of the stromlight series

It is really great hearing Lift's backstory which fills in several gaps from the main books and the performance is just well "Awesome!"
