Summary
We survived the land of the Witch’s Reign - that much is true. But our arrival home is far from welcome.
My idiot brother has taken it upon himself to ride off in search of a mythical healer, someone who might help him walk again. Assuming she doesn’t eat him first. Because she’s a dragon and happens to reside in the deepest reaches of the Dragon’s Ground. Like I said, idiot.
I’d go after him myself, but his leaving is not the only problem I face. My mentor has forbidden me to leave the safety of the Stockyards. Her reasoning?

Pace is building
The first book laid a lot of ground for the world building. Here we were getting more action and pace. the story is heating up and Zam has so much to do, so little time to do it.

Pure Genius
Zam, Lila and Mak are back in the 2nd instalment of Ms Mayer’s Desert Cursed series. This is a story of how you don’t have to be the biggest, the best or the strongest but by working together as a team, you can achieve anything. Love, laughter, friendships, tears and plenty of action! This book has everything!
And as for the narration, Lauren Fortgang is as brilliant as ever. One of my favourite narrators and I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.

So much nail biting
This is such a great sequel. Besides the twists, turns and revelations, there’s so much heart to it. The relationship between Zam and her ‘family’ is warming and emotional, and Lauren’s delivery of it all is beyond reproach. I can’t wait for the next story.
