Summary

"Make some coffee. You'll read all night." Lee Child, number one New York Times best-selling author of the Jack Reacher thrillers, gives Diane Capri and her new Hunt for Jack Reacher Series two thumbs up!

Jack Reacher: Friend or Enemy? FBI Special Agent Kim Otto doesn't know what she doesn't know....

It’s been a while since we first met Lee Child’s Jack Reacher in Killing Floor.

Fifteen years and 20 novels later, Reacher still lives off the grid, until trouble finds him, and then he does whatever it takes, much to the delight of readers and listeners and the dismay of villains.

Now someone big is looking for him. Who? And why?

Hunting Jack Reacher is a dangerous business, as FBI Special Agents Kim Otto and Carlos Gaspar are about to find out.

Otto and Gaspar are by-the-book hunters who know when to break the rules; Reacher is a wanted man, and a stone cold killer when things get personal.

But is he friend or enemy? Armed with disinformation, they intend to find out. Only the secrets hidden in Margrave, Georgia, will tell them.

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Diane Capri brings her insider knowledge to bear on her friend Lee Child's iconic character. The Hunt for Jack Reacher begins here. Have you joined the hunt yet?

"Full of thrills and tension, but smart and human, too. Kim Otto is a great, great character - I love her." (Lee Child, number one worldwide best-selling author of the Jack Reacher thrillers)

Great idea for a series

Creaked a bit. Was getting comfortable with the main characters, but found the narrator sounded almost robotic at times. Decided to call it a day when I discovered that the next two "books" are just short stories.

Not quite like Jack

Not bad, but a very convoluted story to connect Jack Reacher. Some interesting characters and stylised like the novels it aspires to.

Enjoyable

It’s no Reacher book ! But it’s ok and having read the original Reacher book it did make sense.so I think if you are well versed in The Reacher storyline you will enjoy it.

It's like listening to siri!

Not the best book, very disconnected from JR, he just happens to crop up really, but the absolute worst narration!
Not so bad when he's speaking in the character voices, but utterly awful and robotic when describing the scene.

Found it very quite hard to get through this audio book, the characters are quite good but I found my mind wandered, a lot, and I had to keep going rewinding, don't think I will try the second one,

Do or Die

Great idea for a book, the narration was super but the storyline was too detailed in places losing the audience. For me there was not enough ‘Reacher’ time, as a fan of Jack Reacher series this is why I purchased the book.. That said I will try the second instalment as I want the story to do well. The author has done a fantastic job on the main character with numerous possibilities for her character to develop .. Looking forward to the follow up..

Enjoyable read

Enjoyed the listen, narration is good, characters are likable, it's not Lee Child, but we'll worth a listen if you enjoy his books. Not longed listened to The Killing Floor, so events from that still fresh, as storyline goes back over the events of 97 in Margrave.

Disappointing

Very poor imitation of Lee Child’s style. Narration needs to be slowed to 0.90 in order to hear properly.
Quite nice characterisation and scene setting but complete absence of plot.

A cheat, piggybacking off Our Jack

Trust me, utter garbage. What a deception, by adding Jack Reacher in to the title she’s duping you into believing this is connected to JR, it’s not and as such the story holds little substance.

Great story follow up books are silly expensive

Great story. Although I WOULDN'T recommend as the first book is average length and price to draw you in and follow up books are just an hour long at over £5 each ....... over priced for what you get. Shame because the story is good.
