The narration by Steven Briggs is, as usual, splendid and although this book is not a part of the Disc World series the familiar voices of quite a few much loved characters are echoed here.

A completely different view of London in Victorian times. Quick paced, lol funny with silly clever characters. I loved it. Steven Briggs has voices for everyone so the story rolls along at surprising speed. Fantastic

Extraordinary Pratchett at his Best

Dodger is a storry based in London. During the first minutes I had to keep reminding me about it, so not to imagine Ankh Morpork. The storry is good with some really unexpected turns and a nice and happy ending. As narrator Steven Briggs' voice keeps reminding me of some discworld characters, but I would not want some one else to have it read.

I don't know why but I always feel apprensive about reading the 'one off character books' that TP produces. I should not have worried with Dodger. Although 'set but not set' in Victorian London and contains a number of well known names of the times, you feel that this could actually have happened. The writing and story is well paced and I felt that I was like a fly on the wall and could see everything that was happening in my minds eye. I would not mind if TP wrote more books or even short stories on the main characters exploits, either before or after this book was written as I think that there is a market for this character and his world.

I'm an unashamed Pratchett fan and this is just simply another great story, I don't know how there can be so many themes he can make into a book and never be boring or repetitive, they are always entertaining and interesting and I really can't think of any criticism to make. Probably won't appeal to those with no sense of humour though.

Completely entertaining and enjoyable book I have heard it many times and still enjoy the storyline.
Very good narration from Steven Briggs as usual.

Is it Pratchett or Dickens? It's the best of both worlds. The story is fairly simple but told and read with flair and it's a joy to come across many well-known characters, both fictional and real.
