Summary
Dan Starkey reads this exciting original adventure for the Thirteenth Doctor
“To find treasures, you must dig deep, below the surface ... down to the heart.”
Deep below the surface of the planet Adamantine lies a crystalline wonder world of lava seas and volcanic islands, home to living rock-people.
But when the Doctor and her friends arrive they find Adamantine under threat. The seas are shrinking, the magma is cooling, and mysterious, fatal Seething Pools are spreading fast.
Something has come to Adamantine – but what does it want? Fearing an invasion is underway, the Doctor must lead an expedition to the surface of the world to save its molten heart…
Dan Starkey reads this original story featuring the Thirteenth Doctor, Yasmin, Ryan and Graham, as played by Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill, Tosin Cole and Bradley Walsh.

Another Great Who Novel
Another great entry and recommended to anyone enjoying the new series. As with The Good Doctor there's a lot more space in a novel for the Doctor to gad about and plenty for the companions to do. Molten Heart splits them all up very soon and it works quite well. Theme wise this one sees the Tardis crew go up against ingrained scientific beliefs in a very alien society. Highly recommended. Not quite as good as The Good Doctor imho but very close. Dan Starkey (of Sontaran fame) is really good at narrating too.

imaginative and fun.
Una Mckormack is one of my favorite who writers, her stories have a sense of exploration and wonder that fits so well with the doctors whirling, fizzy adventuring.

Captures the cast & improves on the series
The latest series of Doctor Who has had it’s ups and downs, and the cast of the current Team TARDIS are certainly one of the ups. This book captures all 4 of them perfectly, and gives them an interesting mystery to solve in the process. Here’s hoping Una McCormack gets to write many more of 13, Ryan, Graham & Yaz in future. Dan Starkey’s performance is also a delight, capturing the essence of the main cast perfectly - especially Yaz.

another great Doctor who adventure
I have scored the performance low not because the reader was a bad one, just a bad choice. cam you imagine a story with a male lead character/hero ever being voiced by a woman? The male voice was off-putting to me. The story was a cracking if short adventure and involved some interesting aliens and a very unusual world.

If you are over ten...not for you
Doctor who is a much loved programme that has fans of ALL ages, some older some younger. The show needs new fans just as it needs its olde fans. Please specify when a book is targeted at a younger audience, it saves those of us who are older wasting money. In the same way some books are too gritty for the new generation.
Just in case you are confused as to my view of this book. If you are 12 and have never read a sci fi book before, you will love it.
