Dass Sandra Flemming, die Inhaberin des Higher Barton Romantic Hotel, ein Händchen für das Lösen von Kriminalfällen hat, hat sich im beschaulichen Örtchen herumgesprochen. Sie ist sich sicher, dass er ihr regelmäßig Gift ins Essen mischt, denn er möchte die Farm verkaufen und hat eine jüngere Geliebte. Doch ein Arzt findet bei Creeda keine Hinweise auf eine Vergiftung.
