This book was not what I expected at all!! I think I was expecting a light little book about makeup and the struggles to find 6” heels. This was nothing like that.
This was a thoughtful, beautiful exploration of identity and finding belonging. And there was lots of sex. But mostly finding identity, sometimes through sex.

Absolutely amazing book. Written with honesty,heart, wit & humour. Sometimes crass yes but that's what makes it. I'd read it all over again, or listen as I did in this case. Read in a way that makes you want to go on a night out with this fabulous queen. J'adore!

A really bold and fabulous story! It’s made me critically think about and question so many topics including gender, sexuality, misogyny and even parenting; yet still gripping and hilarious! I really hope there’s a follow up book as I can’t get enough!

Was such a journey following Tom aka Crystal on their epic adventure through the trials & tribulations of being a queer, non-binary drag queens! I thoroughly enjoyed the way that they narrated their own story as it added such passion & to hear their voice recount their experiences was an utter privilege, I really love it when the author reads their own audiobook it really adds another dimension to the story; I felt like I really knew Tom & was so sad when it ended! 100% recommend but it’s not for the prim & proper, easily offended folk it’s definitely honest & graphic especially when discussing sexual experiences but I’m not easily offended lol
Most importantly, I loved that it spreads the message of acceptance and inclusion in modern day society. Be YOU, love who YOY love & stop judging others people... live YOUR own best life!! Thank you Tom, you’ve really felt like a friend telling me their life story everyday on the way to work during lockdown :-)
PS - Tom/Crystal... if you read this, can’t wait for your next one & most importantly keep doing YOU!!

Loved every single minute of this not only because I share the love of Céline Dion, have similar relatable Grindr stories but because of how Crystal reads their story to you. You’ll laugh out loud, gasp in places and have a heavy heart in others. It’s 100% absolutely fucking brilliant!! 5 stars!!!

I had to jump a lot of Chapters as I kept falling asleep due to the monitamy of the story & Tom's voice & I a gay guy not female but not butch either,just maybe a former twink but older & wiser so perhaps me getting this book was a mistake?
