About this listen

C.J. Cherryh, one of the most prolific and acclaimed SF writers in the world, delivers the seventh book in her Foreigner series, and the first book in the new Foreigner trilogy - the epic tale of the survivors of a lost spacecraft who crash-land on a planet inhabited by a hostile, sentient race. From its beginnings as a human-alien story of first contact, the Foreigner series has become a true SF odyssey.

Bren Cameron and the Atevi delegation have concluded a successful space mission and arrive back to the planet - only to discover that things have happened in their absence. Fast moving becomes necessary. Jago gets to meet Bren’s old girlfriend Barb. Mecheiti are ridden through the woods.

The plot is fast paced and fun, and full of the memorable quirks CJ Cherry is so brilliant at. The performance is rather good, the different voices the performer has struggled with works better.
