Summary

For over a thousand years, the realm was at peace. The rule of law was handed down by the gods to prevent corruption from spreading and tempting a repeat of the past. Xander Arterius is an enforcer of the law. He has served the Citadel since childhood. Things are normal until he notices strange behavior coming from one of their own. His suspicions are aroused when an inquisitor, Kardin Baylon, begins disappearing for long periods and begins to investigate. Xander discovers a dark threat.

Extremely rushed and pointless story.

The beginning of this story was like spaghetti with the two main characters not making any sense whatsoever. There was no backdrop between the two that made any sense of their pairing and just found that nonsensical.

The plot was all over the place and constantly ruined by nothing that made sense to me. Thus is supposed to be a fantasy but it was told more like a confusing dream.

The ending was dire to say the least and after all these "Guardians" went through all but one were vanquished in a second. What a dreadful and pointless weak and rushed ending with absolutely zero or no nothing at the end.

The narrator was excellent.
