captivating

This is only a short book at two hours long but we'll worth your credit payment.
It is a precursor to book 1 ( rich men dead men ) and explains what happed to Andy to get him in the position that he was right at the start of book one .

it's well wrote and moves along at a good pace.

As usual Colin Mace narration is very good.

How it all began!

Cracking little novella this. Gives a solid prelude to the main series and leads us nicely into the characters that we’re starting to root for!

For those wondering, this is set just before the currently full sized novels and serves as a great introductory piece. You don’t need to read this first to enjoy the other books but you should!

Great writing and another solid narration.

Bring on book 3!

Warren

Excellent Novella

This fabulous novella is set just before Bk 1 in the DI Simon Wise series. Probably like Bk 0.5.
It introduces you to Wise and his team leading you through an investigation & up to a pivotal incident. Really enjoyed it and excellent narration by Colin Mace.
It’s a good short story on its own, but you’ll be hooked and want to read more.

Good Listen But Short

I feel a bit cheated Audible. I came to this via Rich Men Dead Men. Which after hearing it and checking find it is the first in the the series. Ish! I then find this for a whole pound cheaper. all two and a half hours of it, the prequel to book one. Apparently a Novella (a long short story I discovered). I paid my money. It is exactly what it says on the tin. But you really don't need listen to it to get anything extra from Rich Men. In reality it could be the first few chapters of the longer work. After saying all that it is well read and well written. But I would save your money as and get book One
