lapwing, curlew, blackbird, nuthatch, though not performed by cookie

No, but I was taken in by the atmosphere

Any additional comments?

If you love listening to the sounds of different birds, this is a great book. There may be no story, but there doesn't need to be.

perfect - exactly what I wanted

has the songs of loads of British birds. each "chapter" is the name of the bird plus about a minute of their song. so you can just dip in and out to help identify it.

No commentry. Could barely hear birdsong.

I was expecting a voice describing each birdsong, then a clear sound of a wood pigion, tawny owl etc. Instead I just heard 'chapter' after minute-long chapter of very quiet twittering with no explanation of guide. Am I missing something? A huge disappointment.
