Over the last few years I’ve read a few books about the comics industry and the inner workings of the people involved. Tim Pinchers Comic Book Babylon has been an absolute joy to listen to from start to finish. Tim’s reminisce about his love for comics and working in the historical (maybe that should be legendary) Comics Showcase in London made me feel nostalgic. Whilst I never shopped in Comic Showcase whilst Tim worked there, hearing him talk about the shop reminded me of when I first discovered it in 1998 and how Impressed I was with the shop!

Tim’s work at the Vertigo London offices was an outstanding peek behind the curtain to the inner workings of the company and hedonistic social life that went with it.

I enjoyed the book from start to finish and my only complaint was that the audiobook was to short. I only hope Tim considers making another book at some point in the future.
