About this listen

In 1999 and 2000, a number of young women go missing in the Perth suburb of Claremont. One body is discovered. Others are never seen again.

Snowy Lane (City of Light) is hired as a private investigator, but neither he nor the cops can find the serial killer. Sixteen years later, another case brings Snowy to Broome, where he teams up with Dan Clement (Before It Breaks) and an incidental crime puts them back on the Claremont case.

Lane and Clements together is Genius

An excellent listen, well constructed characters and bringing together these two detectives works really well. The case that has trickled through the first two books finally gets solved. Really enjoyed.

Third in the series comes good

The first two Snowy/Dan books show promise but are flawed in different ways. But so glad I stuck with it as the third time is a charm. Great plotting, memorable characters, plenty of mystery and tension - and a whammy of an ending.

Snowy and Dan in the same book!

As a fan of all things WA I was pleased to discover the Dave Warner books, Ric Herbert did a good job as a narrator.
Having listened to the first book with Snowy Lane, then the second book with Dan Clement part way through the third book I thought there was digital error as it had started with Snowy and now it was talking about DI Dan Clement, I was chuffed when I discovered it wasn't a error they were together on a story!

Warners best!

3rd Dave Warner book I’ve read and the best. Great story, plotting and characters and love the setting in north WA. Will be searching out some more Warner books.
