Fantastic story and performance

Well this beautifully told original rendition solves the mystery. The film is nothing like the book except for the car and occasional storyline similarities.
A great listen of a really good story even if I’m a bit old for it now. Don’t think I will be getting the non Fleming versions though.
Great to hear the original story

He thinks Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is the best name for a car and is mesmerised by the idea that the car can be real with its own personality and be as much a part of the family as the people themselves.
The story is excellently read by David Tennant, although I'm not sure why he is reading with an English accent and not his native Scottish one. Sometimes older books can date/age and be less accessible to children today. This book has aged well; the language isn't too difficult or wordy and the overall ideas still resonate.
We would recommend it.
Loved by my son
